I grew up in the Congo region of West Africa. I've also lived in England, Germany and Texas.  In 2014 I moved to San Antonio, TX after 15 years in Austin.

I hold a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from the Warren Wilson College MFA Program for Writers. My creative work has been published in Persona  and was awarded the Gates-Thomas Prize for Fiction in 2009. I have served as the Fiction Editor of both The Rio Review  and Persona.

You can find my my non-fiction, music criticism and brand journalism as contributed and sponsored pieces on: The Next Web, InfoWorld (forthcoming), PCWorld (forthcoming), GigaOm, Austin Sound, Austin Music Magazine, Study Breaks Magazine, Soundcheck Magazine and more.

I've worked in advertising most of my career.

Today I'm a Senior Content Strategist and Writer at Rackspace, focusing on long-form digital storytelling and brand journalism. Before that I worked as an Copywriting Director for Dell's in-house advertising agency where I managed a team of copywriters working on full funnel ad campaigns across every medium: digital and print ads, to social media and broadcast.

I've also worked as a Sr. Copywriter, Copywriter and Content Strategist. I've done similar work for the gaming company Electronic Arts.

Check out my portfolio for examples of some of my ad work.

For ten years I toured America and put out records as the singer of the rock band Murdocks.

I don't do that kind of thing much today, however. I prefer to stay home and read.
